PAPER-I

GENERAL ENGLISH : Candidate will be required to answer questions designed to test their understanding of English and workman like use of words. The patterns of questions would broadly be as follows :
Comprehension, Grammar and Composition.

PAPER-II

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE : Knowledge of current events of local national, and international importance and such other matter, which a person is expected to he aware of. The question will he objective type.

PAPER-III

Syllabus For GENERAL PAPER is as follows :
(i) School Administration
(ii) Duties and responsibilities as School Head.
(iii) Right of Children to free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009
(iv) Mid Day Meal.
(v) Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Reshtriya Madhayamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA)
(vi) Other important Schemes and programmes of HRDD/HCM Merit Scholarship Schemes.
(vii) Sikkim Govt. Establishment Rules, 1974
(viii) Sikkim Govt. Servants’ conduct Rules, 1981
(ix) Sikkim Govt. Servants’ (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1985
(x) Sikkim Govt. Service (Leave) Rules, 1982

VIVA-VOCE : The candidates would be interviewed by the Commission who will have before them a record of his/her career. He/she will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The object of the interview is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for the service/post. The test is intended to judge mental caliber of candidate in broad terms, this is really of assessment of not interest in current affairs. Some of the qualities to be judge and logical exposition balance of judgment variety and depth of interests, ability for social cohesion and leadership intellectual and moral integrity.
