Technical Officer & Assistant Posts: An autonomous institution under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi, Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP) has published notification for the recruitment of Technical Officer A, Technical Assistant E & Technical Assistant B (Group II) vacancies. Eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application format on or before 12-05-2017. 3. Technical Assistant ‘E’ (OBC): 01 Post

4. Technical Assistant ‘E’ (UR): 01 Post

5. Technical Officer ‘A’ (UR): 01 Post

6. Technical Assistant ‘B’ (UR & OBC): 02 Posts

7. Technical Assistant ‘B’ (PH): 01 Post

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 35 years for Post No. 01 & 05, 33 years for Post No. 02 to 04 & 30 years for Post No. 06 & 07 as on 12-05-2017. Age relaxation is applicable to 05 years for SC/ ST candidates, 03 years for OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess M.Sc in Physics/ Chemistry/ Geology or an allied discipline with 55% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with 55% marks or B.E/ B.Tech or recognized equivalent qualification for Post No. 01, 1st class B.Sc or recognized equivalent qualification or 1st class Diploma in Engineering/Technology of 03 years full time duration or recognized equivalent qualification or M.Sc in Geology/ Physics/ Chemistry or an allied discipline with 55% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with 55% marks for Post No. 02, 1st class B.Sc or recognized equivalent qualification or 1st class Diploma in Engineering/ Technology of 03 years full time duration or recognized equivalent qualification or M.Sc in Geology/ Physics/ Chemistry or an allied discipline with 55% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with 55% marks for Post No 03, 1st class B.Sc or recognized equivalent qualification or 1st class Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or M.Sc in Geology/ Physics/ Chemistry or an allied discipline with 55% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with 55% marks for Post No. 04, M.Sc in Geology/ Botany or an allied discipline with 55% marks or recognized equivalent qualification with 55% marks for Post No 05, High School with Science with 50% marks or equivalent recognized qualification with 50% marks in the aggregate and ITI certificate of 2 years duration in relevant trade or 10 + 2 with Science with 50% marks or equivalent recognized qualification with relevant technical subjects with 50% marks in aggregate for Post No. 06 & High School with Science with 50% marks or equivalent recognized qualification with 50% marks in the aggregate and ITI certificate of 2 years duration in relevant trade or 10 + 2 with Science with 50% marks or equivalent recognized qualification with relevant technical

subjects with 50% marks in aggregate for Post No. 07 with relevant experince.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selcted based on test and/ or interview.

Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs. 100/- through demand draft in favour of the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences, Lucknow drawn on any Nationalized Bank payable at Lucknow. No fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
