BJP membership drive to focus on party expansion from Kerala to West Bengal
Ahmedabad : Claiming that next phase in the history of India is of felicitation of BJP ideology, the party president Amit Shah maintained that the membership drive to be started from November 1 will be focused on expanding party base in eastern-southern belt from Kerala to West Bengal.
“Ignorance, boycott and then acceptance, so far the BJP ideology has seen three phases. In the next phase, it will now be honored”, said Shah here during a karyakarta function to mark Gujarati new year in his constituency of Naranpura on Wednesday night.
Addressing the prime minister as statesman and ‘asset ‘ for BJP, Shah said he will be kickstart the membership drive by first making Narendra Modi member of the party.
He said that the BJP is will now focus on eight states of eastern and southern belt from Kerala to West Bengal. ” In these states, our membership drive will focus on strengthening booth level units”, Shah said.
In the western, central and northern states where the BJP has significant presence, Shah said the drive will focus to include well established people from all walks of life to strengthen the party.
Hailing the contribution of BJP ‘s strong organisational setup in Gujarat f, Shah said the membership drive will use various mediums including social media, internet and even mobile technology to reach to various sections of society.
