CSIR UGC NET June 2018 Exam- Application, Eligibility, Dates, Pattern

 

The well-known organization CSIR – Council of Scientific and Industrial Research is one of the prominent names that organize various entrance examinations and one of them is NET. The CSIR has recently uploaded all the mandatory details regarding CSIR-UGC NET 2018. NET – National Eligibility Test is one of the most popular examinations which get conducted by several organizations each year. By qualifying this examination, one can be eligible for the JRF – Junior Research Fellowship and assistant professor post.  This examination gets conducted on the basis of subjects related to Science and technology. The online application will be available from	5th March 2018
Last date of online application	26th March 2018
Last date for receipt of written request for change of examination center (only on merit basis)	19th April 2018
Tentative date of publication of the list of candidates register for test on CSIR, HRDG website.	18th May 2018
Issue of Admit Card	1st week of June 2018
CSIR-UGC NET Examination Date	17th June 2018

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

    Candidates must be an Indian National.

Age Limit:

    The upper age limit prescribed for JRF should be 28 years.
    The candidates belonging to different categories, the relaxation will be provided to them.
    There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

Educational Qualification:

    Interested candidates must have done BS-4 year’s program that is B Pharma, BE, B. Tech, MSc, MBBS, Integrated BS-MS or any other science degree with at least 55% marks.
    5% marks concession is applicable for the people who belong to reserved category.
    Candidates who are studying M.Sc and have done graduation (10+2+3) they are also eligible for this examination.
    If you are interested in this examination, then it is must to submit the attestation format that is available on the back side of the application form.
    One more thing, the format should be duly certified by the HOD of the organization.
    If you have done BSc or if you are doing integrated MS-PhD program and have got minimum 55% marks then you are eligible to apply for the same.
    If you have done graduation from any science side or engineering then you can also get the fellowship but only after being registered to PhD or PhD integrated program.

CSIR UGC NET 2018 Application Fee Details

Candidates will have to deposit the examination fee at any branch of the Indian Bank all over the country. The amount of fee is:

For General Category candidates	Rs. 1000/-
For OBC-NCL category candidates	Rs. 500/-
For SC/ST candidates	Rs. 250/-
For Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH) candidate	Rs. 250/-

Eligibility

M.Sc / Equivalent Degree with 55% Marks for General / OBC Candidates.

For SC / ST and PH Candidates : 50% Marks. Integrated Course and B.E/ B.Tech / B.Pharma and MBBS Candidates Are Also Eligible for CSIR NET 2018
