The disputable law banning dance bars in Maharashtra, which gave vocation to a huge number of women, was put on hold by the Supreme Court today. The court, on the other hand, said the pride of women ought to be secured and it was the state's obligation police to guarantee that it was finished. Dance bars have been an argumentative issue in the state, regardless of progressive governments, cutting over the political separation, marking them as fronts for prostitution. After the ruling of the SC decision BJP's Chief Minister DevendraFadnavis said his government "stood by the law passed by the earlier (Congress) government". However, on the other side a comment arose from Association of Dance Bar that "We are happy with the decision of court," said Bharat Singh Thakur, president of the Dance Bar Association. "We always respected the dignity of women. We have been running dance bars since 1997 and there was no complaint against us on obscenity."

People think that these dance bars harm the society, its culture and also play an important role in destroying youth career or repo. They just set up with a mentality that these dance bars are not good they only built to harm society. In dance bars beer and wines are served with the women dancing on floor to the customers. People will go and enjoy in the dance bars as per with their wishes. As removing ban from dance bars are not sufficient government have to promote some necessary guidelines which are to be followed with every dance bar running among the society. Maharashtra government ban on dance bars clarifies that this kind of culture creates negativity among youths and put a break on their growing career. It has been noticed from several areas of Maharashtra that youth carry a huge amount from their home and spend that money on dance bars. These create a huge impact on society and move them towards the thought of negativity in the mind of every individual that these lead to corrupt young generation.

The law banning dance bars was passed collectively without a level headed discussion in June 2014, after the top court had suppressed a before law banning dance exhibitions in bars the prior year. In any case, eatery proprietors had tested the law, contending that the state was defeating the court's aim. The court concurred that despite the fact that it had put aside a comparative procurement, the law had been acquired another way. The court will hear the case again on November 5.

If a women family income depends on her employment then what are the possibilities in this situation if women is employed in a dance bar? Government ban on rights of individual and employment opportunities are never be acceptable by society at large. There were around 700 establishments of dance bars noticed across Maharashtra which employed more than 75,000 women, who are illiterate and didn’t aware of any other opportunity to create income for them. They performed Bollywood-style dance schedules in bars, accepting money tips from benefactors separated from their pay rates. The dancers' union had contradicted the boycott, saying a hefty portion of its individuals would be constrained into prostitution if the state declined to permit dance exhibitions.

The Ban Story
March 2005: Workers and Peasants Party MLAVivekanandPatil demanded a ban on dance bars in the Assembly. Following a debate, in which all political parties expressed concern over the increasing instances of crime because of dance bars, home minister RR Patil announced that these bars would be banned in the state.

July 2005: Despite protests, government introduced a bill to amend the Bombay Police Act, 1951, so it could impose the ban.

April 2006: The Bombay HC quashed the state government’s decision, saying it was arbitrary and discriminatory and against the provisions of the constitution.

July 2013: The Supreme Court upheld the high court order.

June 2014: The state amended the Bombay Police Act, introducing regulations to govern dance bars. Significantly, not a single dance bar license was issued under the new rules.

October 2015: Supreme Court put stay on amended provisions of government. Remove ban on running dance bars.

The Supreme Court dismissed the government’s appeal on putting ban on dance bars by providing a comment with respect to fundamental rights that it is the right of women bar dancers to follow their professions since they are not eligible to get involved in any other employment opportunity. Apart from this Supreme Court also provide a comment on its decision that no obscenity should be performed in dance bars while performing a dance and also there should be a proper security implemented in the bar.

One question rise in every youth after all these orders, regulations and comments that why do people think that youth gets corrupt in the activities of dance bars? As the process of dancing among men are carried from Mughal period. They also spent their time in get together and parties on special events which are entertained by dancing performance from girls, where alcohols are served among individuals. While, if we focused on current scenario then we find that many political leaders, businessmen have proper arrangements of dancing girls. Why this activity didn’t get stopped? It simply means that person who is holding strong political power or huge market reputation will enjoy all these activities. However, on the present decision of the Supreme Court it is necessary to deploy strong and secure guidelines where all the issues from every individual get clear. Like, strong security practices in dance bars for women should be deployed, age restrictions should be raise from 18 years to at least 20-22 years of age, obscenity should be stopped while dancing and while performing dance activities etc. are some basic practices which is to be followed by each and every dance bars. In 21st century youth play an important role in developing the country standard. Hence, it is quiet unusual thing to blame youth that they get corrupt in these activities since, they are focused with their aim and until and unless they get satisfied with their target or goal they didn’t involve in all such activities. On the other side someone put a comment that people came from villages with a huge amount and then spend that amount on dance bars. So, here I found that it is the duty of guardian or parents that put their eyes on each and every activity of their ward until and unless he became completely responsible. Everything is supplied in the market whether it is an alcohol, cigarettes, drugs etc. where youth get addicted of these if consuming regularly. If all these are not banned and here your ward or youth didn’t get corrupt in these activities, then why should dance bars get banned? As, they are associated with someone livelihood and family income, also falls under legal rights of an individual to follow their profession from where they receive an employment. Hence, this is a big issue to get focused and make situation better as comparing the current one.
